Therapy for Helping Professionals

You genuinely care about others... sometimes at your own expense

You chose a career based on caring for others. You're a 'helper' by nature, and whether it's stopping everything when a friend needs you or taking on an extra project, your first instinct is to help.

As a result, you have too many plates spinning. There is so much you have to do at work, including being empathetic and compassionate to others. It can be draining on all levels- physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Plus, you're managing the demands of relationships, family, and being a human.

You're overwhelmed by the demands of others and growing resentful. There's no time to recharge, and you're headed towards burnout (or already there).

You envision a life where you are a priority. You 'put your oxygen mask on first,' because you trust that when you take care of yourself you have more energy and compassion for others.

You set boundaries and clearly articulate what you need, and you are met with love and support. You practice self care without guilt, and it restores you. You feel proud knowing that you take as good of care of yourself as you do of others.

You have more balance between work and life, and it you enjoy your job again. Life still gets hectic sometimes, but you retain a sense of inner calm.

My goal is to help you make this vision a reality.
